Purpose: Upgrade software and firmware on storage systems and make network topology changes.

Customer Impact: ImageSilo engineers will be updating software and firmware on the core ImageSilo storage systems. These updates will provide better performance, backup processing, and redundancy. It is expected that the firmware updates will make storage inaccessible for a period of time lasting between two and ten minutes. Additionally, it is expected that the storage system software updates will make storage inaccessible for an accumulative period of time of less than ten minutes (due to multiple failovers and failbacks). The network topology changes are not expected to cause any customer impact.

ImageSilo Emergency Maintenance Notification – Mar. 18, 2010

Purpose: An upstream network provider will be conducting a test on a managed circuit to isolate link errors.

Customer Impact: No customer impact is expected. However if an intrusive test is determined to be required, traffic may be need to be routed through redundant feeds. If re-routing is required, customers should not experience any loss of connectivity, but may experience minor packet loss and latency while the traffic re-converges.

ImageSilo Emergency Maintenance Notification – Mar. 10, 2010

Purpose: Replace failed hardware on secondary (backup) storage systems at secondary site.

Customer Impact: ImageSilo engineers will be replacing a failed disk shelf controller module on a secondary (backup) storage system at the Kansas City data center (backup data center). The part being replaced is a redundant module. Additionally, as these are the backup systems, no customer impact is expected.
