Purpose: Replace one of the SQL database clusters.

Customer Impact: ImageSilo engineers will be commissioning a new SQL database cluster to replace another cluster. This new cluster will offer improved performance and scalability for those customers that are on the cluster being replaced. The purpose of these three maintenance windows is to transition customer databases from one cluster to the new cluster. On Friday, August 1, engineers will be moving the core database (which redirects entities to their appropriate database) at approximately 20:00 MDT. This is expected to involve a service interruption for approximately thirty (30) minutes, affecting all customers. After that, engineers will begin moving customer databases from the old cluster to the new cluster. These customers (whose entity ID is less than or equal to 8399) will have their databases moved over the course of the remainder of that weekend and the following two weekends (starting Aug 8 and Aug 15). The customer impact for each of those database transitions will depend on the size of the database, with service interruption for those customers expected to be anywhere from a few minutes up to an hour during their respective transition. Customers whose entity ID is 8400 or greater will not be affected by these moves (other than the initial core database on Aug 1).
