Purpose: Move all services to our new ImageSilo Amazon Web Services infrastructure.
Customer Impact: ImageSilo engineers will be moving all ImageSilo services to our Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure. Engineers will transition customer databases from our data center to AWS over the course of the weekend. The customer impact for each of those database transitions will depend on the size of the database, with service interruption for those customers expected to be anywhere from a few minutes up to two hours during their respective transition. Towards the middle of the transition process, engineers will move the core database (which redirects entities to their appropriate database). This core database move is expected to involve a service interruption for approximately thirty (30) minutes, affecting all customers. Customers that are accessing ImageSilo during the weekend may notice degraded performance if their database is not local to the web farm that serves ImageSilo traffic (i.e. databases at data center with web traffic in AWS or vice versa). Engineers will also be swinging operations for all web traffic from our data center to AWS. No additional customer impact is expected for this change. We appreciate your patience as we continue to improve the ImageSilo service.
