Purpose: Consolidate SQL databases for non-Data Delivery customers.
Customer Impact: In preparation for our upcoming SQL Server upgrade, we will be consolidating SQL databases – transferring customer database data from their shared/multi-tenant databases into fewer shared/multi-tenant databases. For each entity, this process entails temporarily disabling the entity, ensuring no automated operations (i.e. import, etc) are processing, transferring the data, optimizing database indexes, and re-enabling the entity. Each entity may be temporarily disabled (negating the ability to login) for anywhere from a few seconds to several minutes, depending on the amount of SQL database data for each individual entity. We will be running this process only during our regular maintenance periods which include evenings (20:00) through early mornings (04:00) during the week and all day during weekends. This maintenance is NOT expected to impact customers currently using dedicated databases (Data Delivery customers).
