Purpose: Upgrade SQL version on ImageSilo Database clusters.

Customer Impact:
As always data integrity, security, and availability are our primary goals in ImageSilo. In order to prevent any possibility of customer data loss during this upgrade ImageSilo engineers will disable ImageSilo during the maintenance. We expect ImageSilo to be inaccessible for approximately 6 hours

Details:
ImageSilo engineers are performing a comprehensive version upgrade of the SQL clusters in ImageSilo. To prevent any possibility of customer data loss during this upgrade ImageSilo will be unavailable until the upgrade is complete.

Purpose: Move ImageSilo Database cluster to new servers.

Customer Impact: ImageSilo Engineers will migrate the ImageSilo database cluster to higher performance platforms in preparation for future database upgrades. Due to the redundant nature of the ImageSilo architecture, customer impact is expected to be limited to a period of increased latency lasting up to 60 seconds during cluster failover.

Details: ImageSilo Engineers will move the database clusters to Amazon’s latest generation of hardware to improve performance and reliability for our customers. A separate maintenance notification will be sent for the SQL version upgrades to take place at a later date.

Purpose: To enhance security, we will be removing support for some TLS 1.2 cipher suites and removing the ability to embed ImageSilo in third party sites.

Customer Impact:
No impact is expected for the vast majority of customers. A small number of customers identified as using the affected TLS 1.2 ciphers have already been notified. Any third-party websites embedding ImageSilo via an iFrame will no longer function as expected.

Details:
ImageSilo Engineering will update our network infrastructure to phase out AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) CBC (Cipher Block Chaining) based encryption in TLS 1.2 in favor of AES GSM (Galois/Counter Mode) in TLS 1.2 and the TLS 1.3 cipher group. It’s important to note that AES-CBC based encryption is secure and widely regarded as robust against cryptographic attacks. However, omitting the AES-CBC encryption enhances security, improves performance, and helps to defend against potential emerging threats.

If you wish to confirm that your systems will remain compatible with the post maintenance cipher suites, we have enabled a test endpoint that simulates the upcoming change to TLS 1.2:

This endpoint serves the same data as ImageSilo but excludes the AES-CBC based ciphers. If you can connect to it successfully, your systems are compatible. This endpoint is intended for short-term testing only and is not guaranteed to remain available in the future. If you are unable to connect or encounter any issues, please contact ImageSilo Administration for assistance.

In addition, ImageSilo Engineering will be disabling third party embedding of ImageSilo (iFrame support) by enforcing modern content security controls. This change aligns with industry best practices to help prevent spoofing and clickjacking risks. Note that this change will not impact ImageSilo E-Forms hosted on third party sites, as the update has been designed to allow E-Forms to continue using iFrames.

Purpose: Migrate Full Text Database to new Storage

ImageSilo Engineers will be migrating the full-text database to a new storage system to improve performance and reliability. During the migration, full-text processing for newly uploaded documents will be temporarily unavailable. However, all newly uploaded documents will be queued, and full-text processing will resume automatically once the migration is complete. Full-text searching on existing documents will remain available throughout the process. No action is required on your part.
